Matts specialty is in high tech applications, focusing on the UV curing industry and related fields, he’s also highly knowledgeable in the inks and electronics industries. As Business Development Manager Matts areas of responsibility goes beyond selling materials, to working with customers and principals to develop new products and prove new applications.

Josh Day-Mitton is part of the technical sales team covering the UK from Scotland to Cornwall. Josh loves to travel so if you need any advice or just want a chat about what Rakem can do for you feel free to give him a call. Focusing on coatings and plastics when he’s not selling you will find him on the golf course, probably in the bushes looking for his ball.

Speciality Areas

Josh’s main focus is the coatings and plastics market, helping customers make the most out of Rakems latest products or past champion products. If you are looking for a new longer lasting paint formulation or your standard trade paints Josh will find something that is both outstanding in quality and cost effective. Also for the plastics market if you need a masterbatch to compete or better your competitors Josh will find something that will suit.

 

Danny Ashburner

Technical Sales Executive

About Danny

Danny Ashburner is a member of the technical sales team here at Rakem. He covers many areas in the UK from Carlisle to Essex, also looking after our Irish customers.  Danny loves travelling the country assisting  customers so whether it is a new product formulation or help with an existing one, he will be able to take you through the Rakem range and what best suits your application. Out of travelling hours Danny is a keen Footballer playing at a semi-professional level, he regularly represented Radcliffe FC , Burscough FC and Ramsbottom united in the Evo-stik Northern premier league. Whilst playing football Rakem was lucky enough to sign him as our sales apprentice before hitting the roads in 2018 as the youngest technical sales executive Rakem have had.

Danny has taken a particular liking to high performance coatings, he has had large amounts of success helping customers achieve their coatings needs by providing technical advice and the appropriate raw materials to match. Whether it is extraordinary durability or any other technical characteristics you need, Danny will be able to help. He also looks after the majority or our Silysiamont customers, if you need to matte your coating then contact Danny.

Kevin Rafferty

Managing Director

About Kevin

Kevin joined Rakem in February 1997 after a short career in food distribution and retail. During the early years, Kevin was one of the Technical Sales Team covering Coatings, Inks and Plastic applications throughout the UK and Ireland. He developed his technical education with a Masters Degree in Printing and Coating Technology from the University of Wales in Swansea. Kevin joined and became an active member of the Institute of Materials and the Oil and Colour Chemists, attending lectures and symposia organised at local and national level. He still remains a director of Surfex Limited, which is overseen by a team of volunteers from the industry to run the biannual exhibition for the UK Surface Coating, adhesive and construction markets.
