As a member of the Rakem Sales Team, the Graduate Sales Executive will manage and develop existing and new business customers in the UK. The GTSE will be required to have a full knowledge of the products Rakem offer and their customer’s processes and manufactured products. He/She will also have direct contact with the suppliers of raw materials to Rakem (known as Principals).
The job holder will need to maintain current sales levels for their defined customers as well as increasing the current sales level by selling more products to existing customers and finding new customers with a need for the products in the Rakem range.
The GTSE will be required to visit customer sites regularly, ensuring sales reports/monthly reports are written and submitted timely post-visit; attending trade shows as well as participating in electronic communication and social networking in support of the Rakem sales objectives. He/She will also be required to support continual improvement and education of product knowledge by attending product and sales training.
Applicants must have a BSc or above in chemistry or a life science discipline. They must be computer literate in particular with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; self-motivated, organised and proactive. Effective interpersonal skills including communication both verbal and written are essential. Candidates must be confident in adapting style and sales approach to suit a variety of different situations and customers, in support of the Rakem brand. The GTSE will need to have the ability to obtain a solid grasp of mathematical concepts, basic statistics as well as fully understanding the chemistry behind the Rakem products.
The role is full time and possession of a driving license is essential as the role is field based. (The job holder will work from the offices in Bury when not visiting customers/principals etc.).
